This week’s organizing project needed to be small with 3 people sick in my house and my hubby working long hours. So I decided to tackle going through my five year old clothes which are pushing their way out from behind these doors….

There HAD to be an explosion!!!!!
So….I emptied it out.
Sorted out what was too small into two piles– hand-me-down and donate.

Then, refolded and put back the rest, and here is the beautiful result!

My refrigerator was also a nightmare. I usually keep on top of it pretty well, but with all the leftovers we have had lately and the craziness of life, it had just gotten BAD. Here is the humiliating picture of before.

So…I disposed of the old leftovers, expired dressings and juice.
Wiped things down.
Grouped like items AND…
Here is the result..SOOOOOOO much better.

Ok, so looking at the picture, it still looks a little crowded, but it really is more organized, and looks better in real life. (Isn’t that how it usually is? Or maybe its thinner) See how there is some free space on the top shelf???
Do you think I like creamer??? ( I got a good deal.)
I am pleased with the results, and can’t resist going by every once in a while to peek in!
Happy Organizing!

  1. Creamer is that the 3 lookalike products in the door? We use plain old half and half, which can be used in recipes too! Frig looks much better!

  2. Great job on the chest and the frig!

  3. It feels so good when we are able to attack a crowded space and make it more organized, doesn’t it? I also had three sick ones and just making a little progress felt awesome!

    Good job with yours.

  4. Love your progresses! Keep up your great work!

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! Your fridge looks great…maybe I should tackle mine?!?! The clothes look great too! I am still looking for a better way to handle my kids clothing…my 11 year old and hangers do not get along! :)

  6. Hey, I think we have the same type fridge. We got ours last year since it was time to let the 30 year old sidebyside one go. We got it the summer that I was pregnant with our daughter. It lasted and had no problems. Needed newer as it’s more energy effiecent and I think it was going down hill.
Good job on the organization process. Have a good weekend!

  7. Yes…both places look much better!
Thanks for linking to my Organizing Mission link party

  8. The fridge is always a tough one! Every time I want to throw out a leftover my husband claims he will eat it for lunch the next day, but he doesn’t:) Tonight we had an entire dinner of leftovers and I told the kids that anything left was going to be thrown out- nothing was left!
