On Friday nights I like to make a dessert to help celebrate the weekend’s arrival. While flipping through Cake Mix Magic 2 by Jill Snider, from the library, I came across this simple recipe, and knew that I should try it over a devil’s food cake. My husband loves most anything with peanuts or peanut butter and this was an easy hit.

Here is all you need:

1 Devil’s food chocolate cake
2/3 cup of  semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter

On low heat, mix the peanut butter and chocolate, stirring continually just until it’s smooth.

Then drizzle over your cake.

You can serve it as is, or with whipped cream and topped with chopped peanuts or toffee pieces!

This recipe is the simplest, and yet it has a lot of punch, very rich and creamy. We really enjoyed it and hope you do too!
