Setting Up a Vanity

I had this extra little corner in my room which I thought would be the perfect spot to set up a vanity area for myself.

We had this desk we weren’t using, so I moved it into the space, and it fit perfectly.

I picked up this pretty mirror at TJ Maxx for $10 which I thought was a great price, since I had looked at mirrors at another store for $40.

Also from TJ Maxx, I bought this handy organizer for cosmetics which I must say, I am loving.

Before using this, I was digging through a basket for my makeup, so this is much more efficient and tidy.

Here is my setup when I was finished, and I love the natural light for getting ready. Now I don’t have to lean in close to the bathroom mirror trying to see up close with my forty-something eyes or squabble with my hubby when we’re both trying to get ready.
I’m so happy with the way my space turned out!

  1. Margo,

I have only recently found your blog through Funky Junk Interiors. I absolutely love it. I’ve tried several of your recipes and they are great. I am a new follower, and just wanted you to know how much I enjoy it.

  2. If I don’t have a nice organized place to put my make-up on… I don’t!! Your vanity is so pretty and neat and organized 🙂 thanks for sharing!

  3. Wonderful!!! It looks like Elle Decoration, but I can totally see myself using it every normal day. I just love your style and I’m your newest GFC follower 🙂
