I picked up this, sort of pitiful tray, for a couple of dollars at a church rummage sale, and I showed it to you from a distance on my screened porch.

You probably can’t see how badly it needed a makeover…

But here it is up close, kind of ugly and in need of some tlc.

So I gave it a coat of heavy duty primer.

Then, I used two coats of the same creamy paint that I used on my pretty little stool makeover.

After debating whether to pretty it up with scrapbook paper or paint, I decided on some painted stripes. So I taped it all up with painters tape, just eyeballing it as I went.

Then I used a sponge brush to apply the same paint I used on my bedroom walls–Behr Ultra Pyramid Gold.

Ta Daaaaa!  I think it looks so cute and fresh now, and it only took a few minutes total.
I like it sooooo much better!
Here is how it looks gracing my porch. It always amazes me what a little leftover paint can do!
Blessings,
