There are certain times I have strong cravings for chocolate. Whether or not they’re legitimate, I don’t know, but when I saw this recipe in Mr. Food’s Simply Chocolate cookbook, I had to make it. I tweaked it to make it even more “chocolatey” to suit my craving, and I was really happy with how it turned out. It doesn’t require anything fancy, and after you freeze it, it has a really nice texture.
Here is what you need:
1/4 cup of cocoa powder (I used dark cocoa, but use what you like best)
3 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
1/4 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of milk
4 ounces of softened cream cheese
16 ounce container of cool whip (thawed)
chocolate cookie pie crust
Blend the cocoa and oil together, and then add the sugar and milk.
Then, with a mixer, beat the cream cheese and the chocolate mixture.
When it’s a smooth consistency, gently stir in half of the cool whip. (8 oz.)
After this, pour the mixture into your pie crust.
Isn’t that so easy!?
Now freeze for about 3 hours or until you’re ready to serve it. Then top with the remaining cool whip, and you’re ready to eat!
This will definitely satisfy a chocolate craving! Yum! Hope you enjoy!
