Menu Plan for the Week of August 8th
Summer is slipping away too quickly! I will appreciate cooler temperatures, but not the school and other responsibilities that come with fall. I am planning to really savor these next few weeks,
starting with savoring some yummy food. I would like to try this Broccoli and Garlic Pasta recipe this week for one of our dinners. It has lemon and chicken in it which I enjoy as a combination. Another recipe that looks good for breakfast or a snack is this Peanut Butter Baked Oatmeal.
Now for the rest of the plan:
Breakfast Options: (Any combination of the following)
Egg whites and spinach (hubby’s choice)
(We like to add fruit and/or carrots to any of these “entrees”)
Pasta (My kids love it)
Macaroni and cheese
Vegetarian corn dogs
Chicken, turkey or ham sandwiches
Graham crackers and milk
Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches
Whole wheat toast
Yogurt or cheese sticks, crackers
Leftovers from dinner
Baked Pasta, veggies or salad and garlic toast
Cashew Sesame Noodles and veggies
Taco Salad (we didn’t get to it last week)
Garlic butter, chicken, feta & vegetable pizza
Grilled steak and fixings
