Chocolate Nut Clusters

I found another yummy recipe in Art Ginsburg’s book  Mr. Food Simply Chocolate, and it could not be any simpler to make! You only need 3 ingredients, and so we are talking quick and easy.

Here is what you need:
2 cups of almonds, toasted, or peanuts (when I made them with peanuts I did not toast them)
The recipe in the book calls for chopped almonds, but I like the texture better with whole almonds. To toast the almonds, bake on a cookie sheet for 8 minutes at 350 degrees, shaking the pan a couple of times during the baking.

1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
2 cups of chocolate chips, semisweet, milk or dark (Use really good quality chocolate chips)

In a saucepan mix the chocolate chips and condensed milk over low heat till smooth.

After removing from heat, stir in the almonds till they are all covered in chocolate. Using a large spoon, drop unto foil lined cookie sheet, and refrigerate till firm.

You are now ready to enjoy! These need to be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator. My oldest son isn’t a fan of nuts, but even he enjoyed these.
