Menu Plan for the Week of Oct. 24th

What a great weekend! We took the kids to a circus, and I think even my “bored” teenager enjoyed it. I remember my parents taking my brother, sister and I one time, and I’ve never forgotten the experience. We are learning to seize moments at our house. It has been way too easy in the past to put “fun” things off for later because of the busyness and demands of life, but we are realizing our time with our children in the home is limited. My hubby and I tend to be the serious “I have a million things to get done” typical firstborns, and we are trying to balance things out more with family life experiences, and savoring our time with our children, whether that means working together or playing together.
Ok, on to the meal plan for some family dinners this week.

Breakfast Options: (Any combination of the following)
French toast
Cereal
Fruit
Waffles
Toast
Eggs
Oatmeal
Poptarts
Egg whites and spinach (hubby’s choice)
Pancakes

Lunch Options:
(We like to add fruit and/or carrots to any of these “entrees”)
Pasta  (My kids love it)
Ravioli
Macaroni and cheese
Vegetarian corn dogs
Vegetarian hamburgers
Hot dogs
Chicken,  turkey or ham sandwiches
Graham crackers and milk
English muffins
Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches
Whole wheat toast
Soup
Yogurt or cheese sticks, crackers

There you have it. Is having the added grocery list helpful? I didn’t include things I figured most people would have on hand like baking soda… If this is helpful, I will try to keep it up. Hope you all have a great week!

  4. I love that you have graham crackers and milk as one of the lunch options – one of my absolute favorite snacks is graham crackers dipped in milk. Yummy. 🙂

  6. Okay~ I have a confession to make. Each week when I see your post I think to myself umm why does she just list a bunch of lunch and breakfast’s and then detailed dinners???? I sooo would make a detailed list for all meals and all snacks and drinks and……
Then it hit me last week. Ummmm self you have not EVER completed a meal plan for a day much less a whole week. AND hubby always says there is nothing in the house to eat.
    {insert angels singing}
Ohhhh so if I stock the house with options for breakfast and lunch and snacks then hubby and kids (oh and I can too) have a choice of what to eat….
    GENIUS!!!
Yes Margo you are a genius.
    Thanks so much!!!
