Happy New Year! (almost) We had a white Christmas which was my children’s wish. I am looking forward to the new year, hoping and planning on making healthier choices in my spiritual, physical and mental lives…baby steps!

Breakfast Options:
(Any combination of the following)
French toast
Cereal
Fruit
Waffles
Toast
Eggs
Oatmeal
Poptarts
Egg whites and spinach (hubby’s choice)
Pancakes
English muffins
Muffins
Baked oatmeal
Breakfast cookies
Quiche
Cinnamon rolls

Lunch Options:
(We like to add fruit and/or carrots to any of these “entrees”)
Pasta  (my kids love it)
Ravioli
Macaroni and cheese
Vegetarian corn dogs
Vegetarian hamburgers
Hot dogs
Chicken, turkey or ham sandwiches
Graham crackers and milk
English muffins
Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches
Whole wheat toast
Soup
Yogurt or cheese sticks, crackers
Leftovers from dinner

Dinner:

Quiche and Banana bread
Grocery list: Pie crust, eggs, broccoli, cheddar cheese, bacon or ham (or just veggies), white and whole wheat flour, sugar, bananas

Buffalo Chicken Soup
Grocery list: Celery, carrot, onion, chicken, chicken broth, buffalo sauce, cheddar cheese and brown rice

General Tso’s chicken, and egg rolls (I get them from Sam’s Club)

Toasted peanut butter and banana sandwiches and fruit salad
Grocery list: Bread, bananas, peanut butter, honey, powdered sugar and assorted fruits

Chicken noodle soup and the best  Light rolls
Grocery list: I start with canned soup, and then doctor it up with extra chicken, broth and vegetables; light roll ingredients-flour, yeast, eggs….

Grocery list: Bow tie pasta, olive oil, pesto, Italian dressing, chicken, fresh spinach, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese

  1. MPM definitely keeps me on track. I actually look forward to Mondays!
    This New Year’s Eve, I’m staying home, cleaning our house and doing some blog visiting. Hubby had to work so it will be quiet.
