Meal Plan for the Week of November 24th

It’s Thanksgiving week, and I’m so excited to start decorating for Christmas! Some years things are just so hectic that I’ve had a hard time getting enthusiastic about “decking the halls,” so I’m happy to feel eager this year.  I fixed Thanksgiving dinner last year, but this year another family member will be, so I don’t have much to do!

 Breakfast Menu:
(Any combination of the following)
French toast
Cereal
Fruit
Waffles
Toast
Eggs
Oatmeal
Poptarts
Egg whites and spinach (hubby’s choice)
Pancakes
English muffins
Muffins
Baked oatmeal
Breakfast cookies
Quiche
Cinnamon rolls
Pumpkin pancakes
Baked eggs and cheese casserole
Toasted peanut butter & banana sandwich
Coconut Quinoa Granola
Smoothies

Lunch Menu:
(We like to add fruit and/or carrots to any of these “entrees”)
Pasta  (my kids love it)
Ravioli
Macaroni and cheese
Vegetarian corn dogs
Vegetarian hamburgers
Hot dogs
Chicken, turkey or ham sandwiches
Graham crackers and milk
English muffins
Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches
Whole wheat toast
Soup
Yogurt or cheese sticks, crackers
Leftovers

Dinner menu:


Skillet enchilada rice
Grocery list: Rice, ground beef, onion, red pepper, green enchilada sauce, red enchilada sauce and Mexican blend cheese

Creamy chicken and vegetable soup
Grocery list: Chicken broth, frozen vegetable blend, cooked cubed chicken and sour cream

Baked pasta
and green salad
Grocery list:  Rigatoni, cottage cheese, garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, mozzarella cheese, pasta sauce and salad ingredients

Taco Spaghetti

Grocery list:  Spaghetti, corn, ground beef or turkey, onion, taco seasoning, cheddar cheese, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, tortilla chips, sour cream, olives and chili peppers

Quinoa, chicken and sweet potato stew
(Great for the crockpot)
Grocery list: Chicken, onion, garlic, chicken broth, chili powder, red pepper flakes, quinoa, sweet potatoes, black beans, kidney beans and petite diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil
