Dinner Ideas for the Week

Halloween this year was questionable, since my little guy kept changing his mind about what he wanted to dress up as, and my daughter wasn't sure she wanted to dress up at all.

Finally my son went with an old costume from a previous year, and at the last minute my daughter decided she would dress up as Laura Ingalls, since she just finished reading through the series twice in the last 2 weeks, so we had to scramble and come up with a costume, and this was the best we could do!  They had so much fun though, since a lot of my extended family came over and went with them.

I had purchased just over 500 pieces of candy, but we still ran out with at least 30 minutes yet to go.  I always let the trick or treaters pick out a pencil with a Bible verses on it too, and we ran out of those as well... Each year we seem to get more and more trick or treaters in our development, but I don't mind since I feel it gives an opportunity to give out something with Scripture on it.

halloween 2015 4My oldest son and his sweet girlfriend helped me, while my hubbie walked around with the kids.  We don't take Halloween too seriously, and don't do gore or scary, but just enjoy the time seeing our neighbors, family and friends, and I made a big crockpot of my Chicken, Black Bean & Salsa Soup!

By the end of the evening, it was scraped clean, and I think next year, I'll have to make two crockpots full.  🙂

Ok, here are my yummy dinner choices for this week!
