Delicious Dinner Ideas

Happy Monday!  I hope you are doing well this new week!  If you live in an area of hard winters, are your spirits lifted by the warmth and brightness of Spring?!    Mine sure are!  We vacuumed our screened porch yesterday to start getting it together to enjoy the season.
We’re also planning a trip to D.C. before our son gets married; do you have some “must see” stops or places to visit suggestions for while we’re there?  I want to make the most of our time!  Even though we’ll eat out some, we will get a place with a kitchen so we can save lots of money by preparing many of our own easy meals.
Here are some easy and delicious ideas for your week:

  1. I pinned your salad. What a great idea for a summer meal! I’ve always wanted to go to Washington D.C. and see the cherry blossoms blooming as well as all the other sites. Hope you enjoy your trip.

    1. Thank you, the berry salad is so wonderful and colorful too! I’m sad we will miss the cherry blossoms, they are so beautiful in the pictures I’ve seen! I hope you get to go to D.C. sometime! 🙂

  2. Our family have been to D.C. a couple of times. I don’t know the ages of your children but you might have time to contact your local senator to get tickets to the Capitol tour. Unless you already have tickets to the White House, you can forget that. Was told you need six months advance to get them. All the Smithsonian museums are still free, I think. It is good you plan on cooking in a kitchen because the cost of food in some restaurants are high. We went in the late spring and it was hot. Cheryl

    1. Oh I would love to tour the White House, but I didn’t plan ahead long enough evidently! I did contact my senator for the Capital tour, so I’m glad you recommend it! Thank you so much for your suggestions! 🙂
