Menu Plan for the Week
Do you struggle with what to fix for dinner? I know I used to, until I started menu planning, but even with all my menu planning, occasionally there are evenings when I’m just too exhausted to actually make dinner. This past week I had one of those days, and I called my husband at work and asked him to pick up sub sandwiches on his way home, and you know what, It’s Ok. Sometime we need a break, and it’s not a big deal. I also keep a few frozen pizzas in the freezer for times when I just don’t have it in me to cook, or I prepare simple scrambled eggs and toast for a no fuss dinner.
If you’re out of the habit of meal planning or just getting started, I can’t say enough good things about it. It takes a load off your mind each day because you know what you’re fixing, and you have the ingredients on hand! Here’s some ideas for this week to get you in the meal planning mood…
Hamburger Pie (Similar to Shepherd’s Pie)
Taco Pizza
Grocery list: Pizza dough ingredients, pasta sauce, ground beef, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and taco seasoning
Taco Pasta
Grocery list: Spaghetti, ground beef or turkey, onion, taco seasoning, corn, Cheddar cheese, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes and tortilla chips
