Crockpot Butter and Ranch Chicken

While this recipe may not be the lowest in fat, it is certainly a crowd-pleaser. The rich, buttery flavor pairs perfectly with the tender chicken. Give it a try for your next family dinner or gathering!

Total Time 4 hours 10 minutes
Serving Size 4 -6

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 pounds fresh not frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts (around 4-6 depending on size)
  • 1 Bottle of ranch dressing light or regular, but I wouldn’t use fat free
  • 1/2 cup or one stick of butter I like salted, but unsalted works too

Instructions

  • Spray crockpot with cooking spray and place in the chicken breasts. Cut up butter into pieces and place on top of the chicken. Pour ranch dressing over the top.
  • Cook chicken in crockpot on high for around 3-4 hours or low around 5-7 hours depending on how hot your crockpot runs.
  • It’s done when it’s so tender it just flakes apart with a fork. The internal temperature that’s considered safe for cooked chicken is 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once you take out the chicken breasts, scoop out the sauce, whisk it, and serve over your chicken breasts like gravy
