Sloppy Joe Cups

sloppy joe in a biscuit
Oh my goodness! Who doesn't love messy savory amazing sloppy joes!? I really like this recipe for using biscuits to fill with the sloppy joe mixture instead of on a regular bun because it limits the delicious messiness that usually comes along with eating sloppy joes!

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or turkey cooked thoroughly and drained
  • 1 15 to 16 ounce can sloppy joe sauce I like Hickory flavor
  • 1 can small or junior size biscuits 10 count

Instructions

  • Lightly grease your cupcake pan, and then press the biscuits into the bottom, and up the sides of each cup.
  • First, cook the ground beef thoroughly, remove from heat, and drain the fat off. Then mix in the sloppy joe sauce.
  • Using a measuring cup is the easiest way to fill the biscuits, with about a 1/4 cup of the mixture in each. Depending on how much meat you use, it makes around 10.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, in a preheated 375 degree oven, or until the biscuits are lightly golden. Let set for a few minutes to cool, then gently slipping a fork down underneath, between the pan and biscuits, is a simple way to lift them out of the muffin pan.
