Heat up about 2 inches of oil on Low heat. You want TINY bubbles in the oil. I put the oil on a back burner so the hot oil is away from the edge.
By pulling gently, make a large hole in the middle of each biscuit.
Then I usually test one first in the oil to make sure it’s hot enough and not too hot or they'll burn. You want your doughnut to get a light golden brown on the bottom, and then turn it over. Watch them because they get done quickly.
Drain on paper towels, and let them cool slightly.
You can then mix up some cinnamon and sugar and shake them in a brown bag or baggie to coat. I use 1 tablespoon of cinnamon to 1/2 cup of white granulated sugar.
