Devil's Food Cake Mix Doctored Up

When it comes to cake mixes, it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that they can't compare to homemade cakes. However, with just a few additions, you can transform a simple devil's food cake mix into a gourmet baking delight that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

  • One 16.5 ounce devil’s food cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • One 3.9 ounce package chocolate instant pudding/pie filling
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Mix first 6 ingredients with a mixer till well blended, then stir in chocolate chips by hand.
  • Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.
  • Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes.

  • Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then turn out onto a cooling rack or towel. When it’s completely cool, it’s ready to serve.
