It’s three layers: the bottom which is like a giant oatmeal peanut butter cookie, then a layer of chocolate, and it’s topped with homemade peanut butter frosting.
Mix wet ingredients together with mixer.
Then mix dry ingredients together.
Combine wet and dry ingredients and spread in a 9×13 inch greased pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
When you take out of the oven, sprinkle 1 cup of chocolate chips over the top.
After they start to melt, spread them over the top with a spatula.
While this cools and the chocolate hardens up, make the peanut butter frosting.
Beat peanut butter and butter with mixer, then gradually add powdered sugar and milk alternately.
Beat well, till it is fluffy. If it is too thick, try adding a dab more milk.
Spread over the cooled chocolate layer.
Let them sit for a few minutes at least so everything “sets” and then you are ready to cut into bars and serve.
