October isn’t even officially here yet, and my youngest has already begun debating with himself as to “who” he wants to “be” on Halloween. With him, I tend to wait till the last minute because he changes his mind so many times. One thing he doesn’t change his mind on though, is how much he likes the MARVEL superheros, and even the villains too. His last Beta fish he even named “Loki,” who, for those of you who don’t know, is Thor’s “brother” from the The Avengers movie. 🙂
Even though we’ve already seen Avengers: Age of Ultron in the movie theatre, my kids are counting down the days till it comes out on Blu-Ray/DVD, and the much anticipated release date is October 2nd, which is perfect timing for a Halloween Watch Party!
MARVEL and Walmart make it easy to throw a MARVEL themed party by providing some fun snacks with plenty of superheros included, like MARVEL Avengers or Spiderman string cheese, MARVEL Avengers grapes, and MARVEL chewy granola bars. Walmart also has the advantage of having the MARVEL Avengers characters’ (and Spiderman as well) costumes conveniently available when you pick up your snacks!
Some of the costumes available are: Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, Ultron, Vision, Iron Man, and Hawk Eye.
Iron Man is one of my son’s current favorites, so he picked out the Iron Man 3 costume, even though I was hinting and rooting for the Captain America suit… 😛
It’s easy to put together a snack platter for your Halloween Watch Party
I cut the granola bars and cheese sticks into cubed bite size pieces, thoroughly washed the grapes, and skewered them all with colorful toothpicks to make easy little “appetizers.”
I threw in a few eyeballs to add to the Halloween theme,
and also made small snack size portions of chili. I even cut cheese sticks in long stringy pieces to make “worms,” and added more eyeballs. I know, why do kids like icky stuff like that…? 😛
(Don’t serve small children, especially 3 & under, chunky food that could be a choking hazard.)
My son all “suited up!” 🙂
He makes such a cute superhero!
As you can imagine, we have lots of superhero memorabilia at our house, which makes throwing a MARVEL themed watch party, a piece of cake. Also at Walmart, I found a lot of their school supplies on clearance this time of year, and I picked up Marvel themed coloring pages, pencils and pencil cases for pennies!
We live in a housing development, and easily get around 500 trick or treaters, so extended family come over every year, and trick or treat here, and help us pass out treats, and then we hang out afterwards. With the Blu-Ray/DVD release of Avengers: Age of Ultron on October 2nd, a MARVEL Halloween Watch Party is perfect timing!

What ideas would you have for a MARVEL Halloween Watch Party?
I absolutely love this! My favorite Avenger is Iron Man too – I have a thing for super smart guys. 🙂 #client
He’s also a rich philanthropist! 😛
