I have never liked traditional fudge. I’ve always thought it tasted like pure sugar with no pronounced flavor. Plus, my mom would put walnuts in the fudge, and I used to think they were gross. A few years ago when I was visiting my parents, my mom made a peanut butter fudge like I’ve never tasted before, and it was yum!!! It was also ridiculously easy to make, so if you’re craving a decadent treat but short on time and ingredients? Look no further! These two-ingredient peanut butter and chocolate fudge recipes are here to satisfy your sweet tooth and delight your taste buds.
With just peanut butter and vanilla frosting, you can whip up a batch of creamy, dreamy peanut butter fudge in no time!
All that you need are:
- 1(16 ounce) can of regular plain vanilla frosting (not whipped frosting)
- 1(18 ounce) jar of regular creamy peanut butter (not “natural” peanut butter with the oil at the top, or the consistency of the fudge won’t be right).
Scoop out the peanut butter and the vanilla frosting into a microwave safe dish, and microwave in 30 second intervals till the mixture is just soft enough to stir together well.
Once the peanut butter and frosting are fully combined, pour the mixture into a parchment-lined 8×8 inch baking dish. Use a spatula to smooth the top of the fudge mixture evenly.
Pop it in the refrigerator for a few minutes till it “sets,” and then it’s ready to cut into delicious bars.
Now another scrumptious variation of this so simple 2 ingredient peanut butter fudge is to again use the peanut butter and instead of mixing it with vanilla frosting, mix it with chocolate frosting! Doesn’t that sound yum!?
If you like, use your imagination to add in whatever delicious items you can think of, like chocolate chips, sea salt or pretzel pieces etc. before the fudge sets.
