“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Proverbs 3:5-6 have to be the verses that I quote to myself the most, especially when I’m fretting over what my next step should be, and what God wants for me. He promises to direct me when I’m doing my part, which is trusting Him and making His priorities my priorities.

Since this passage is so special to me, and I love making printables, I decided to make a decorative printable to remind my family and I to really TRUST God, because He IS trustworthy and faithful. We are to turn to Him for help and guidance.

Through:

  • praying
  • reading His word
  • and obeying Him

we come to know Him (“acknowledge Him” means to know Him and to submit to Him), and as we get to know Him better and better we learn to trust Him.

I certainly haven’t “arrived” in this area, which is probably why I say this verse to myself so often.

If you would  like to put these verses somewhere in your line of sight to remind you too, here are two free printables for you.

Colorful printable

Just click on the image or the link below each one to open a PDF to print.

Now of course these print on 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper, so to fit one in an 8 x 10 frame, you’ll have to trim it 1/4 inch off the top and bottom, and a 1/2 an inch off each side, OR you can purchase a document frame to display it in which comes in just the right size.

I hope these verses encourage you!
