TruMoo Orange Scream Poke Cake

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TruMoo for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Halloween is coming up quickly, and my kids are constantly changing their minds about what they want to be for that night’s festivities. We don’t do scary or gory, more like bumble bees, ladybugs or super heros, and since we live in a large development, we usually get around 500 trick or treaters coming by our house.  My brother and sister usually bring their kids over, and my parents hand out pencils and candy, and we have pizza or soup and treats afterwards.

During this fall and Halloween season, TruMoo® is offering a scrumptious orange cream flavored milk that can make your fun a little more festive.

They also offer a chocolate milk with the delicious chocolate taste kids love!  Each flavored milk is sweetened with just enough sugar and doesn’t contain high fructose corn syrup, and it starts with pure fresh low fat milk from your trusted dairy, and contains no artificial growth hormones or HFCS.

I picked up the Orange Cream Flavored Tru Moo® Milk and used it in one of my favorite types of desserts, a pudding poke cake. It turned out so yummy, and my husband who loves pudding, couldn’t get enough of this dessert!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 vanilla cake mix
  • 3 cups TruMoo® Orange Scream milk
  • 16 ounce container of whipped topping
  • One 5.1 ounce box instant vanilla pudding

Bake your cake according to package instructions, in a 9×13 inch baking dish, then let cool.

Then wisk together 3 cups of TruMoo® Orange Scream milk and the dry vanilla pudding mix.

Now you’re ready to poke holes in the cake so the pudding will seep down in. I find that using the handle of a wooden spoon works well. If you use something too small, like a fork, the pudding won’t go down into the cake.

Spread the pudding mixture over the cake and gently work it into the holes you made. Chill at least for an hour in the refrigerator.

Then spread the top with as much whipped topping as will fit! Serve immediately or cover with foil and keep refrigerated till you are ready to serve. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.

To make this treat even more fun, sprinkle with candy eyes from the baking section of your grocery!
