It’s a new and busy week here. My children will be doing their school testing per our state’s requirements for homeschooling, and my father will be having a pretty significant surgery. I would greatly appreciate your prayers for him.
I wanted to show you what my hubby made me for Mother’s Day: this beautiful box to put flowers in, and he had the kids pick out some colorful live flowers for me. The Turquoise Home had shared this project with us back in April, and I fell in love with hers, and so my hubby agreed to try and make a similar one for me. I thought he did a pretty good job! 🙂 After I plant the flowers, I’ll fill it with mason jars and some silk flowers matching the seasons or holidays.
My sweet mom wanted to gift me some flowers too, so I couldn’t resist picking out some gorgeous hydrangeas.
I LOVE flowers, but I have no “green thumb” at all, and so I hope they survive. 😛
Well let’s take a look at some delicious recipes that can fuel our families this week.
The dinner ideas come from this group of ladies. 🙂
I made these scrumptious Quesadillas with Chicken and Bacon this week several times, and they’re now a new family favorite!
Shrimp Creole from New South Charm
Pollo El Greco from Jonesin’ for Taste
Hawaiian Meatballs from Recipe Treasures
Pizza Stuffed Chicken from Tastefully Eclectic
For dessert, this cheesecake looks like a winner!
Lemon Blueberry Swirl Cheesecake from A Day in Candiland
I hope you have a wonderful week!
