I have been searching for just the right storage cabinet to fit in a 24 inch wide spot in my bathroom.

Up until now, this is what I’ve been using to fill and organize the space–a bakers rack from a yard sale.

While this worked ok, I knew I could utilize the space better. After keeping my eyes open for over a year for just the right piece without any luck (and since we still have not gotten around to updating this bathroom from its builder grade look), I went ahead and settled on an inexpensive but better option than my wire rack.

Even though these were not as deep as I was hoping, they were exactly the right width and I could go up in height for more storage.

Here is the emptied space which is situated between the sink and my tub.

It only took a couple of hours to put the two pieces together, and my hubby saved me at the end, and finished it up for me. They also come with hardware to secure them to the wall so they won’t tip over on anyone, and connecters to affix the two pieces together.

I filled the drawers with our toiletries and face cloths so they would be out of sight. I really like an uncluttered countertop because it’s so much easier to clean. So the more things I can stash away in a drawer, the happier I am.

Then I stocked the shelves with towels and other necessities. I am in the process of switching all of our bath towels to white for simplicity, and because I like the clean, tidy almost spa like look of them.

Even though we still have lots of work to do in this bathroom, in the meantime, I really like the appearance of this storage so much more than the old rack I was using.

Since we don’t have a linen closet anywhere in our home, we need to have some storage pieces in our bathrooms that will do the job. These two pieces together were less than $100 and are doing the job nicely!

Blessings,
