My husband REALLY likes banana pudding, you know the kind that’s layered in a dish with pudding, bananas and vanilla wafers? He also enjoys the Dairy Queen’s banana cream pie blizzard. Well, in honor of father’s day, I wanted to create a twist on that dessert, using our favorite vanilla ice-cream instead.
INGREDIENTS:
Vanilla wafers
Breyers natural vanilla ice-cream
Bananas
Cool whip or whipped cream
Amounts are dependent of course, on how many servings you are making.
Crush some vanilla wafers in a baggie.
Then start layering.
LAYER IN THIS ORDER:
Vanilla wafers
Ice-cream
Banana slices
Cool Whip
Then I repeated the layers.
Let me tell you, this is a keeper! It was so yummy, and could easily compete with the yumminess of a banana cream pie blizzard.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
that looks like the perfect dessert, especially for entertaining!
How simply divine! That looks so easy to do with any sort of pudding and yet it would have a wow factor. I can’t resist things that are creamy and crunchy! I’m going to remember this! Thanks for visiting Quirky Vistas and taking the time to comment today!
