Easter craft ideas abound on the internet by people a lot more creative than me, but I do like to spark creativity in my children, and let them get messy sometimes while having fun, and if it happens to involve sugar, it’s all the more sweeter!
I’ve put together some ideas from the web and our fabulous “Think Tank Thursday” bloggers to share with you!
I saw this gorgeous idea over at Yesterfood for Peeps Houses, and tried it out with my kids, and while ours didn’t turn out as beautiful as hers did,
the kids had a great time making them. Aren’t they cute?
Last year I made these little cinnamon roll bunnies for the kids, which were a hit. The only thing I would do different this time, is maybe put the almonds (teeth) on when they are almost done baking (instead of before), so they wouldn’t spread apart so much.
Easter Bird’s Nests by With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart. I’ve seen these made with chocolate and peanut butter too; so darling and yummy!
These are homemade peanut butter cream eggs by Life With the Crust Cut off, and lets the kids have fun with edible markers!
Here’s another sweet way to use peeps in a nest by Diana Rambles.
My kids would go crazy over these M & M filled rice crispy eggs by Growing in Grace!
Aren’t these twinkie bunny cars also by Growing in Grace, so enchanting!?
Do you like to decorate for each holiday? Here are some pretty ideas… The Messy Roost uses a glass block and fills it with colorful items and lights to give it a warm glow.
Kathe With an E made an elegant table setting with purchases from World Market.
Even though my family and I have some fun with the Easter treats, for us Easter does mean much more to us. We celebrate Christ’s resurrection after his death on the cross for the sin’s of the world. The following bloggers have some meaningful ways to reinforce their faith with their family and others.
The Ferrell Boys and Me created an Easter countdown with each day’s surprise having a Scripture related meaning.
Posed Perfection shows how to make a jelly bean bracelet where the colors represent the message of God’s grace.
My Turn For Us has directions for making a beautiful bracelet where each piece represents a part of Christ’s life.
Also from The Ferrell Boys and Me are instructions on how to make a resurrection garden with your children.
Hope this list gives you some good ideas, and that you have a blessed Easter!
What a great collection of Easter Goodies! Hope you had a great weekend and thank you so much for sharing your awesome recipe with Full Plate Thursday. Have a good week and come back soon!
