A couple of months ago, I posted a recipe for Peanut Butter Play Dough that my kids really enjoy.
Then I checked out Mr. Food ‘s Simply Chocolate cookbook by Art Ginsburg from the library, and lo and behold there was a recipe for edible chocolate play dough. I HAD to make it. It also has peanut butter in it, so it’s kind of the best of both worlds.
Here is what you need:
1 container of chocolate frosting (16 oz.)
1 cup of peanut butter (creamy)
1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
Mix everything together….
till it looks like this:
Then just let the kids have fun, or you can eat it as a sweet treat!

Hope your kids enjoy!
Now, THIS really caught my eye. We know about edible play-doh, but edible CHOCOLATE play-doh? Oh, yum. This is a must-try, maybe even TODAY!
Oh, that looks like fun! I know lots of folks with peanut allergies, but I suspect sunflower butter would work just fine as a substitute.
This looks good – thinking about it as an alternative to modelling chocolate for kids cake decorations!
I can’t wait to try this with my kids tomorrow…I’m sure it’ll be a huge hit! Visiting from Raising Homemakers…thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing and for linking up with us! This looks great. 🙂
My kids are going to think I am great thanks to this post! I can’t wait to make this for them.
How fun!
Is there an alternative to the peanut butter. My youngest is allergic.
Sharing a link to this on Facebook. 🙂
Oh, my kids would LOVE this!
Looks so fun and yummy!
Fun for the children and if they are very young and put it in their mouth it will only tast good!

i just made this today. it was a huge success! i ended up putting in almost 2x the powdered sugar to make it more doughey and not stick to my fingers. but the boys loved molding and eating. it felt and smelled so good!
