In addition to The Organizing Junkie’s 52 Weeks of Organizing challenge, i Heart Organizing has had a month long organizing challenge in which she assigned an area of the house each week to be organized. (Can I have a nickel for everytime I say organizing, organizing, organizing…..?) Anyway I am going to do a “by area roundup” review of some of what I have worked on for the last month, starting with my entry way.
Before
After
On to the living room….
I purged these videos to donate…From this cabinet In the kitchen I decluttered….
The counter went from crazy
To calm
And…
My medicine cabinet went from this…To this… 🙂
And a disastrous drawer went from this….
Oh my!
To…
Hello!
The kids’ bathroom received some:
Tub toy purging
Much better after
Their toothbrush drawer got tidied and cleaned
And…
The scary corner in my bedroom turned into…
Not so scary after all
My son’s clothing….
BeforeAfter some purging and tidying
For something new… Can you say “HOT SPOT”!?
This coffee table is where the “living” happens in our living room. My kids play around it. We snack, read, and watch t.v. around it, and it is a GIANT magnet for everything that needs a place to park for the moment. So it is in CONSTANT need of decluttering as you can obviously see!So I worked hard, and recruited my kids to put their toys away, and this is what we got it to look like for 2 whole minutes!
i Heart Organizing asked us to purge at least 30 things for the month of April,
and I can proudly say I went way over.
My hubby hauled all this to a Salvation Army store for me!
While maintenance is most always necessary after organizing and decluttering a space, it is much easier to keep up with than to deal with in the first place, and it is so exciting and satisfying to see the results!
Great Job…you’ve been a busy girl!!

You are doing a great job! Lots of organizing each week at your house. I bet you are loving it!
Thanks for linking it up to my organizing Mission Monday link party.
Great job! I LOVE before and after organizing photos! I love getting ideas from them, too. So much fun to get organized and be able to enjoy the finished product!
You have been working HARD! I am a new follower and would love to have you come visit! 🙂
great job. you have inspired me to check the merge the medicines into one area. Currently in two different places. To organize the bathroom drawers. And pack my car with all the donation boxes.
Wow, this is fantastic…. and inspiring me to clean up this weekend!
you have been busy!!
if you read my post, my daughter, her 5 children and her bf moved in this week.
We are in he process of re-organizing the chest of drawers I already had for the kids plus adding to it to fill the drawers. Other organizing to get done as well, but I am sure taking baby steps at this. Saddest part is we only bought this house in March and I’ve already let clutter take over most of it when I promised that I wouldn’t.
