This post brought to you by Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.
I typically don’t do a “formal” spring cleaning, but since I frequently have overnight guests, I do my major cleaning right before I’m expecting company, which tends to happen at least 4 times a year, and it includes cleaning things like baseboards, blinds, window sills, valences, light fixtures and wiping out and organizing cabinets and drawers. I absolutely try to save money on my cleaning products. I’ve even made my own laundry detergent for awhile, till I felt it was too harsh on our clothing.
Dollar General gave me the opportunity to try out some of their own brand of cleaning products, and I was pleasantly surprised at just how many products they offer, and how well they worked for me! Spring Cleaning
My oldest son takes his lunch to school everyday in an insulated nylon lunch bag which I like to throw in the laundry every once in awhile, but for everyday cleaning, I give the inside a wipe down with a disinfecting wipe.
Dollar General happens to carry their own DG brand of disinfecting wipes that are budget friendly, and worked great for a daily lunch box wipedown.
I also like to use disinfecting wipes or spray as a back up on my countertops, after handling raw meat.
I tend to be picky when it comes to dish liquid because I like it to give me plenty of suds. I tried out the DG brand, and it worked very nicely for me!
If you’re in the mood to get started on your “spring” cleaning, or just your everyday cleaning, check out the budget friendly DG brand of products!
Hi Margo,
I have found out over the years that Dollar General has pretty good cleaning products. I especially like that Lavender.
I gave up all the chemicals. Vinegar, baking soda, and lemons do well.
