I’ve seen so many different types of these little easels. Some call them display stands, photo stands or plate stands, and they come in wood, plastic or metal.
I found this really pretty one, and started thinking
about how versatile these “little easels” are!
Sometimes I feel like I’m in the kitchen forever,
and can really use some distraction by watching something on my tablet.
Look how perfectly this works to hold my tablet
while I’m washing dishes, cleaning or cooking!
It can also hold a cookbook for me while I’m following a recipe.
A small white board or chalkboard fits too!
It also works to hold a small piece of artwork or framed picture.
Holding a plate may be the most traditional use.
You can find all different styles of these little easels
at craft stores, discount stores,
or stores like Home Goods or TJ Maxx.
Hope this gives you some ideas!
I was also looking for something to hold my IPad when I’m using it for a recipe. Most of my recipes are on Pinterest now so I can easily find them. My problem was finding a stand that did not take up a lot of counter space and that would be easy to store when not in use. I found the Prepara iPrep Tablet Stand and Stylus at Chefs.com and it is perfect for what I wanted. It may be a little pricey for some at $30 but it was worth it for me. It holds my IPad perfectly and folds flat when not in use taking up very little room. There is also a stylus that fits in the base that you can pull out and use to avoid getting your IPad smudged when you have sticky fingers. It would probably hold a thin cookbook but it is mainly for a tablet.
Thanks, good to know!
Great range of suggestions! Especially love for a tablet stand in the kitchen. (Seen on ‘One Project at a Time.’)
Thank you! They are so handy!
