Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Cookies

Are you ever in the mood for some fresh cookies hot out of the oven, but don't have the energy to drag out the giant mixer and ALL. THOSE. INGREDIENTS??? Or maybe you're just in need of a quick dessert for some unexpected visitors, or perhaps a few cutie pie kiddos getting home from school?

Cake Mix Cookies are the WAY TO GO. You can just stir the few ingredients together with a spoon, drop tablespoonfuls onto a cookie sheet, bake and BOOM, they're done!  🙂

I've made a few yummy versions of cake mix cookies on here before, but today I'm sharing how easy it is to make fun chocolate chip cookies with a cake mix. Start with a vanilla cake mix and add 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of oil, and a bag of chocolate chips or chunks. That's it!

Give 2 cookie sheets a quick spray with cooking spray. Use a Tablespoon measuring spoon and scoop out 24 heaping tablespoons separated a couple of inches apart on your cookie sheets.

In a preheated 350 degree oven, bake for around 12 to 15 minutes, watching carefully till they're done, so they don't burn or get too brown on the bottom.

Ingredients

  • One 15 to 16 ounce vanilla cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • 10 ounce bag of chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  • Stir together the cake mix, eggs and oil, and then stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Give 2 cookie sheets a quick spray with cooking spray. Use a tablespoon measuring spoon and scoop out 24 heaping tablespoons separated a couple inches apart on your cookie sheets.
  • In a preheated 350 degree oven, bake for around 12 to 15 minutes, watching carefully till they’re done, so they don’t burn or get too brown on the bottom.
  • Let cool for a few minutes, and then enjoy!

      Well, I wouldn't know because cookies never last more than 2 days at our house! 😛 Wiki says "soft homemade cookies will last 3 days at room temperature" in a container. If you'd like to save them for longer, you could freeze them. 🙂
