We recently bought a Costco membership, and I’ve been delighted by all the healthy food options available at their stores. I came across this “Naan” bread on my last visit, and thinking it was what my oldest son had wanted me to try years ago, purchased it.
Unfortunately after talking to him, it wasn’t what he had been talking about (he’d wanted me to try something called pupusas).
But fortunately for us, we have all really enjoyed the Naan bread. I even like to just warm one up in the microwave, and eat it plain. But last week I decided they were the perfect size and thickness to make mini pizzas for dinner. Guess what? Everybody loved them, and it took less than 5 minutes to assemble 18 mini pizzas!
I still had to bake them for a few minutes, but it was one of the fastest meals ever!
Until you bake it in the oven like I did for the pizzas, Naan bread is a soft flatbread that’s a little chewy, in a delicious way. Of course I’m the girl who will eat warmed up tortillas plain, but Naan bread is way tastier. It’s also easy to make from scratch, but for today’s super fast meal idea, it’s much quicker to buy it! 🙂
To make Naan bread pizza’s all you need is:
- Naan bread
- Pasta sauce
- Mozzarella cheese
- You favorite toppings
I don’t need to give you exact amounts of everything because you can just decide how much to use for your family.
So lay out your Naan bread by how ever many pizza’s you want to make, on a parchment paper lined baking sheet/s. Spread a tablespoon or two of sauce on each one, and then top with cheese and your chosen toppings.
Bake for around 5 minutes in a preheated 400 degree oven, or till your cheese is nicely melted. But watch them closely so they don’t burn.

That’s all there is to it! I like the Naan bread pizza’s way better than using tortillas or english muffins for mini pizzas. They just have such a good flavor, and your family is sure to enjoy them!
Ooh, we love naan! Usually we just have it with curries. Thanks for this new idea!
